About EIFER

EIFER was founded by EDF and KIT in 2002, focusing on applied energy research and offering innovative solutions towards carbon neutrality. The institute has been involved in the development and application of hydrogen technologies for more than 20 years. EIFER researches innovative solutions for the production, storage, and use of hydrogen. This includes the development of efficient electrolysis processes for hydrogen production from renewable energies, the exploration of storage methods, and the integration of hydrogen into existing energy systems.
