PEPPER presented at Hydrogen Technology World Expo Europe 2026

Published: 21. October 2026

The PEPPER project is being presented at Hydrogen Technology World Expo Europe 2026, taking place from 20 to 22 October in Hamburg, Germany.

PEPPER's coordinator, the DLR Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics, is participating in the exhibition alongside researchers from several other DLR institutes, presenting innovations in hydrogen production, fuel cells and electrochemical energy conversion.

Among the technologies featured at the DLR joint booth is the PEPPER project, which focuses on developing planar proton-conducting ceramic electrolysis cells (PCCELs) for efficient hydrogen production at temperatures around 600°C. The project aims to advance the performance, durability and scalability of this technology, supporting its potential future industrial applications.

PEPPER is presented alongside other research projects exploring different approaches to hydrogen production and electrochemical energy conversion, each offering interesting insights into innovative technologies.

Visitors interested in learning more about PEPPER and DLR's hydrogen research can visit the DLR joint booth in Hall B5, Stand 5H30.
