PEPPER unveils its PCCEL stack showcase at Hannover Messe 2026
Published: 21. April 2026
After weeks of preparation, the PEPPER project has now completed its PCCEL stack showcase, currently on display at Hannover Messe 2026.
The visual model presents how proton-conducting ceramic electrolysis cells (PCCELs) are assembled into a multi-layer stack architecture. Operating at intermediate temperatures (around 400–600 °C), PCCEL systems can utilise both electricity and waste heat, contributing to improved overall energy efficiency.
Visitors are invited to explore the showcase in person at Hannover Messe (Hall 11, E22, booth of the DLR Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics) and engage with members of the PEPPER team to learn more about the technology and its potential for industrial hydrogen production.
